Indoor Doggies

The camera stays in my pocket when we’re out in the rain, so if I’m going to photograph Wally and LuLu it will have to be in the less favorable indoor setting.  I’m rarely happy with those pictures due to the eye shine from the flash.  For these photos I corrected the eye shine in Photoshop Elements by cloning an area of nose and dropping it into the eye.  I then cloned a shiny, glistening area of the nose or lip and positioned a tiny spot for the eye glint, using the original photo as a guide for size and placement.  It may not be perfect, but at least I was able to get some photos of them dry and still for a change.  I love my sweet Golden babies.  Can you tell?

  8. Those pictures are amazing. I can tell how much you love them by the shine on their coat and the look in their eyes. They are two of the best loved, best cared-for dogs in the world. I don't know you or them but I feel happy every time I see them.

  9. The photos of Wally and Lulu are gorgeous! I haven't a clue what you did but whatever it was, it worked for you. I have PSE, but I really haven't a clue how to really use it except for cropping and resizing photos for blog posts. One of these days I need to take a class and learn all that it can do.

  15. Wally and LuLu are the luckiest doggies in the world. From their expressions, I think they know it. It seems like they not only love you to bits, but their eyes show tenderness when looking at each other. Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if all dogs were as fortunate.

They need to be shared with everyone! They are truly the most beautiful "fur children" I have seen! I can see why you love them so much!

  20. Leslie, your photos always make me smile. Did you braid the hair on their ears? It looks ruffled like hair that's braided when wet. I never noticed the hair on their ears until now since you got close ups.
