Double Decker Doggies

Just riding along in the back of the pickup on their way to someplace fun.

IMG_1373

They like to sniff the air between the canopy and cab, and when they smell that they’re approaching one of their favorite outdoor playgrounds they get very excited.  Wally and LuLu know the pick up means play, just as they know when they ride in the SUV it means we’re running errands or going on a trip, and they’ll settle down on their quilt and act all grown up.  We take them pretty much everywhere.  If they weren’t so darn endearing and appreciative we might be able to bear to leave them at home.  As it is, well. . . perish the thought!  Have a happy weekend!

  1. Leslie, I can't even imagine one without the other. In my heart, LuLu has always been by Wally's side. How is it these two, whom I've never met in person, have won this place in my heart!?! Thank you for sharing with us each week!

  3. I would take them, too. Such beautiful kids. Olivia used to go lots of places, too. She especially loved going to our cabin on Orcas Island where she could play on the beach and in the water.

  5. What a fabulous photo. They are just too adorable. I wouldn't be able to leave them at home also. My new kitties are settling in - one inside; the other outside. Sadly Corey is just too feral to live in the house with the other kitties.

  6. I don't blame you one bit for not leaving them! They appeared to be very well trained and well behaved too - nobody enjoys a spoiled child *giggle* They're both beautiful and I know todays gona be FUN and it's almost spring!! Our daughter is coming out this afternoon with Penny (who now 7 years old). We were at her house last Tuesday with Teddy for a birthday dinner. It was the first time Teddy has seen Penny since Thanksgiving - what fun! Teddy wasn't one bit afraid of Penny. In fact, if he could have he'd have been right on top of her. She on the other hand was more cautious of the new human. *laughing* She did however lick his little hand ever so gently which brought gales of baby laughter. Have a wonderful weekend enjoying the outdoors and the kids.

What a blast - a pickup truck! (What can I say...I'm a city kid) Nothing is more exciting than riding in the back on the way to a fun destination. It’s obvious that the two furry kids are full of anticipation at the prospect of a fun-packed day. They are just so expressive. And very lucky to have a couple of devoted humans.

  9. Just had to let you know how much I enjoy viewing the photos of Wally & Lulu. I like the dogs as much if not more than cards. Dogs are the best companions...better than family & friends because they're always there for YOU. Enjoy seeing them having fun and just plain acting like dogs. I've always had Dobermans and love their personalities but this is the first time i've acquired a Goldie and it's been an enlightening experience as Charly is a whole different type of dog from Keahi the doberman. We love her loving personality and intelligence but loathe the furry tumbleweeds all over the house (doesn't matter how often we brush her...it's still there!). It's like having Beauty & the Beast with the 2 of them in the house. Have a great day.

  10. too cute, I thought that was just a fluke that Peanut always acted different when we were coming down our road, but must be she can tell when we are getting close to home :)

  11. I couldn't bare to leave these two behind at ANY time! I'm afraid they would have to go with me everywhere I went. You just know by looking at them that they will be well behaved & make "Mom & Dad" proud of them wherever they go!

  15. With faces like that, who could bear to leave them behind. I take my girls when I can but don't like to leave them sitting waiting in the car alone. They are not that well behaved!

  16. Awesome photo! I know what you mean about wanting to take them. I don't want to go on vacations to nice hotels as much any more. I'd rather go in the RV so we can take the pups!
