Squinty Eyed in the Sun

Love those sunny days to hang out all squinty eyed on the deck, just soaking it in after the long winter.

I can’t see a thing, but it sure feels good.

That’s last year’s Bacopa beyond Wally, off to a good start without any help from me.

It looks like we’re in for a stretch of good weather and I’m thinking now’s the time to get some flower shopping done and pots planted.  I’m so looking forward to seeing the garden in full bloom again!  I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

  1. So good to see these lovelies this morning. It's too cold here, yet, to think about yard stuff.

  4. I think Wally and Lulu agree that everybody needs a little sunshine vitamin D! I'll bet it feels as good to them as it does to us. The sun is peeking out today after a series of down pours yesterday. Welcome back to the east coast where it really gets hot and muggy. Happy flower shopping this weekend. I'm looking forward to some beautiful garden photo's Leslie.

  5. They are so beautiful and look like they are happy to be out in the sunshine. I'll be so happy for some Spring even though we have sunshine, it's a bit chilly here. I' in the middle of installing a patio in the back yard and then will be working on the flower beds.

  7. Great pictures! Your weather sounds awesome!!! We just had eleven more inches of snow on Thursday/Friday. :( This has been a very unusual winter for us, and I can't say I like it very much.

Isn't it wonderful to feel the warm sun on your back after a long cold winter! I find all of us creatures get this joyful sun-drunk look on our faces in the spring on sunny days. Love it.

  11. I love touching their coats when they are sitting in the sun like that...so warm and silky! It was cold here yesterday rain and shine-it could not decide what to do. Windy and sunny today-I'll take that over rain!

  14. It was warm here today so I planted flowers myself. Ranger likes the sun for about 5 min then he gets too hot. :0) They look content in the sunshine and relaxing. Hope your week is wonderful Leslie.

  15. Oooh, I can relate to squinting in the sun and feeling the warmth. However, it's from memory since we haven't had those kinds of days for a long time here in Ohio. Your kids are so cute. Thanks for sharing them with us.
