Just Hanging Around

Hey, there!  Just a few photos of everyday things.  Most of our summer is spent hanging around the house and garden.  My Rich has become more of a homebody, and it's always been my favorite place, too.  Diversions and side trips are nice, but I love to come home.

Dragonfly with a damaged wing hanging onto a daylily bud.

LuLu hanging out in the garden.

Impatiens hanging in the shade of the cherry tree.

Chestnut Backed Chickadee hanging on the seed cake feeder.

Wally chillin' in the shade.

Hope you're having a perfect day!

  3. You have such a way with words! Have seen many large dragon flies this year but none with a broken wing. Very few bees though.

  4. Gorgeous photos Leslie. The one of Lulu makes her look like a fluffy puppy again, and Wally is a clever boy keeping cool in the shade. Alexandra x

  5. Great pics of the garden, poor dragonfly, it seems he is doing ok with a damaged wing. Lulu and Wally have good idea to be in the shade enjoying the garden!

  6. Your garden always looks more like the Garden of Eden than anything else! Gorgeous flowers, beautiful birds and of course, our precious fur babies! How happy they must be to have such a wonderful place to hang out in!

  7. As always, delightful pictures of fur babies and fauna! Especially enjoyed the close up of the dragonfly. I never get to see them that clearly in real time. Can't blame you for not needing to wander too far from home. What a gorgeous place you have. Can definitely tell lots of loving time put in outside. Thank you for sharing.

  8. I always love when you post about your fur babies and gardens. Your gardens are so pretty and lush. Love the chickadee, we don't have that type here in Ontario, we have the black capped chickadee. Great picture of the dragonfly! I I don't blame Wally for being in the shade. It is 10:50 pm here and it is 91F, it was 108 today, a few more days of this hot weather! As much as Bill and I love to get out and do photographs on weekends, we are homebodies as well. Just love hanging around the house and enjoy the backyard, birds and garden. A quiet place! Thanks so much for sharing.

  10. Fabulous post, and you know looking at these photos of the fur babies, Lulu looks like a girl and Wally a boy..I know that sounds weird, but I can just see Wally with a bow tie and Lulu with a bow in here hair...lol...and I am a homebody too, and getting more and more so, guess the old saying 'there is no place like home' really does ring true!!

  13. There's no place like home! Beautiful photos of home and family, Miss Leslie. Do you make your own bird cake? Can the squirrels reach in to eat? Life is good. Thanks for sharing! XXOO
