Earth is waking up from a long winter's nap. Pussy willows stretch and yawn and push out their soft-as-kitten-fur buds.
Rise and shine, English daisies!
Even the lowly skunk cabbage is all aglow and a sight for sore eyes. Wish I looked that good in the morning!
Is your spring still sound asleep, or are you starting to see signs?
"The promise of spring's arrival is enough to get anyone through the bitter winter!" ~ Jen Selinsky
Have a happy day!
My two best friends and my favorite place on earth, with a little something extra in between.

Oregon Coast Day Trip
Oh, happy day, we finally got out for a day trip in our new and improved motor home! We drove down our beautiful Oregon coast and returned after dark, so it was a full day. And it was fabulous!
First stop was the New River Nature Center south of Bandon. We had a picnic lunch and walked the nature trail. Dogs must be on leash and you can't stray from the path, so it's not our favorite kind of walk, but good exercise on a beautiful day. Stopped here for a picture of Rich and the kids:
Pictured below is our new escape pod. At first glance it probably looks the same as our previous motor home, but there's a world of difference in the quality and features and interior design. After our walk we hopped back in the pod and headed further down the coast.
Classic Oregon Coast. I've seen these views countless times, but I never forget to appreciate them.
Further south we stopped at a familiar place called Arizona Beach. We couldn't get out to the waves because the swollen Myrtle Creek intersected the land mass. Nevertheless, we had a nice beach to play on and the creek was a perfect place for Wally and LuLu to swim.
See the sand bank beyond Wally in the photo below. It indicates how much water had been in the creek recently.
There was plenty of wide open grassy area, too. However, we had to stay far afield of this guy:
This stretch of the Oregon coast is open range so it's not unusual to see cattle and sheep along the road, but I've never had to deal with a beach bull before.
Next is Rich and the kids again. He had to hold them back so I could take this picture. Do those look like happy dogs ready to run and play? You bet they are!
We stayed here till dusk and then had a nice drive home. It was just enough to remind me how much I enjoy a road trip. Spring is on its way!
