Hello! I have a card to share today, and it’s not at all what I had planned, but I’m happy with how it worked out. I had stamped out a new baby stamp, all ready to watercolor, when I realized the baby has a bow in its hair. Not going to work for the baby boy card I need. Well, you know I recently did all that cleaning and reorganizing in my stamp room at which time I once again came across these chipboard letters I’ve never used. They came in such an appealing box… a testament to how packaging sells. I wonder how many things I can spell with those letters?
There’s a lot of designing, but no stamping on the card front. Baby’s family are horsey people so I thought it would be fun to use horsey, boyish paper. I used a Levi button, too.
The card measures 4 1/4” x 6”. I have a lot of envelopes to fit this size card, but I never remember to use them. It worked out great for this design. I think I’ve included all the card’s ingredients in the recipe (below), so I’m going to hurry off to do some of the things I didn’t get done while I was having fun in my stamp room. We’ll visit again soon. Enjoy your day!

What a fabulous, perfect baby card. Love that there are so many interesting parts to it. Where did you get a Levi button? Off an old pair of jeans? Very cool theme.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a Cute Baby Card for a boy and NO stamping.... All the layers, but not girly at all and the Bronko paper is so cute too, even ribbon... and then the Levi button does the trick!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!!
Amazing card for a new baby! Love the Levi button and the pretty mixture of papers.
ReplyDeleteLeslie, your card is amazing. Love the buttons and border you have added to this. You have a great way of putting things together, a true artist.
ReplyDeleteOh I hate to admit it but I have bought those boxes of chipboard and not used them either. I mean to but just don't-loved the card and said (to myself) gotta use those on my next card. I needed the push-thanks! PS although I rarely ever comment I truly enjoy your sight and hubby enjoys the pics of the kids.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous baby boy card Leslie, and no stamping! You are so clever at putting cards together. Thanks for the lovely comment on my blog, you know I've a weakness for retrievers , whether golden or labrador variety, I just can't resist.
