Spring 2015
Hello! Long time, no post, but now that spring has sprung I’m feeling much more like being out with the camera. Our little LuLu, as many of you know, had a bout of very scary illness, but she’s feeling much better now. Here’s the little critter as we speak. . .
Oops, wrong end, but isn’t that the cutest curly bottom? Here you go. . . she was after a ball. Actually, she likes to pretend the ball went into the bush and she’s having a hard time retrieving it when, in truth, she put it there, herself. Wally just wants to continue his game of fetch, but that’s what he gets for giving the ball to LuLu. He’ll retrieve it for us, but he won’t let go of it (unless we’re on the back porch – there’s a reason for that, another story, another time). Maybe we should try biting at his leg. That’s LuLu’s trick.
Below is a vibrant color combo outside my kitchen door. That’ll wake you up in the morning!
And here’s LuLu again with her raggedy tennis ball. She’s under the smoke tree which is just starting to leaf out.
We’ve been staying close to home, increasing activity slowly. Wally is showing signs of starting up with the colitis again, so I continue to watch closely. Thank you all so much for your concern and well wishes. Have a happy day!

Great pictures - how wonderful to have color already!!! We went for a long walk yesterday and saw a few buds on some bushes. That's where we're at:) I'm so happy that Lulu is doing better. Sure hope Wally doesn't have a relapse.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see pictures of Wally & Lulu, they are both just so beautiful. And your gardens from what I can see so far - you have such a beautiful back yard Leslie, love the vibrancy of that flower - that is sure to wake you up in the morning - LOL- gorgeous. Things are just starting to bud around my neck of the woods, temps are slowing getting there, cool mornings right around 32F but reaches low to mid 50's during the day. Thanks for sharing and lets hope Wally will be okay. Take care, enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that LuLu is doing better. I can imagine just how worried you were. Does Wally get colitis often and how dangerous is that to him. Please keep us posted. They are both such lovely dogs and it is so much fun to see them playing.
ReplyDeleteI know how much you love your pets. I have a rescue Akita with some issues, but she is really our furry child. She brings so much love into our home, as I know yours do too.
Warms my heart to see the fur babies out and about again. So glad to know that Lulu is doing better now and I hope that Wally's issues will settle down also. I really look forward to seeing their antics. The weather here has been mostly on the wet side, so even though I got the flower beds weeded out I've not had the opportunity to purchase anything new. They look pretty dilapidated right now, but hopefully soon will start to look better.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear LuLu is better. Hope Wally issues are on their way to getting better, too. I love your yard. It's so full of beautiful color.
ReplyDeleteSo good to see Wally and Lulu in your beautiful garden again. Hope they continue to get better.
ReplyDeleteSo glad Lulu is feeling much better...now to get them both healthy at one time! These are lovely sunshiny pictures!
ReplyDeleteI do hope Wally is not coming down with another bout of illness! It always worries me when my Scooby doesn't feel well. He was suffering from food allergies when we adopted him from our shelter two years ago and had to put him on a grain free dog food, he is doing so well now. Have you planted any new type plants in your garden recently... maybe they are chewing on something that is upsetting their digestive tracts. I know Oleanders, as well as some other plants, are poison to people and animals.
ReplyDeleteI hope he is not coming down with this mystery ailment again, it is so hard to know what to protect them from. They could be passing it back and forth between them now, if it is a contagious type malady. I send best wishes to you and your fur babies well-being and hope your vet can come up with an answer soon.Hugs to all!
How wonderful to see pictures of your fabulous furballs, just love them! Thanks so much for sharing, I missed seeing them. I hope Wally and LuLu will get healthy!

Your garden looks so green and pretty with all the flowering plants. So good to see Lulu up and about and having fun again. Hope Wally stays healthy too!
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to hear LuLu is doing better. She is so cute. I love the shot of her under the smoke bush. I do hope Wally has not gotten sick again. Do they have any idea what could have caused this?
ReplyDeleteHow happy I was to see you back. I just love those beautiful dogs & your gorgeous garden. So glad that Lulu is feeling better and hope Wally will not get sick. My springer loves his ball & must have it in his mouth wherever he goes! Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteHi, Leslie - such gorgeous azaleas! Ours have long since bloomed and been pruned. Glad to see Lulu is enjoying herself again (and yes, the cutest little curly bottom EVER!) - but sad that Wally is not feeling well. Hope they are both in tip top condition soon! xo
