Indoor Doggies
The camera stays in my pocket when we’re out in the rain, so if I’m going to photograph Wally and LuLu it will have to be in the less favorable indoor setting. I’m rarely happy with those pictures due to the eye shine from the flash. For these photos I corrected the eye shine in Photoshop Elements by cloning an area of nose and dropping it into the eye. I then cloned a shiny, glistening area of the nose or lip and positioned a tiny spot for the eye glint, using the original photo as a guide for size and placement. It may not be perfect, but at least I was able to get some photos of them dry and still for a change. I love my sweet Golden babies. Can you tell?

ReplyDeleteLeslie,
ReplyDeleteThese are all great shots but the second one would make a beautiful portrait for the wall. They are such pretty dogs!
They are such sweet babies......I miss my golden so much..hard to believe it's been 7 years now...but I get great pelasure out of seeing Wally and Lulu...and my doggy kisses from my Nellie...I love her so much!! Can't wait to see what they have been up to next!! And its raining here in Michigan, too...but back to snow tomorrow...crazy weather!!
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are amazing. I can tell how much you love them by the shine on their coat and the look in their eyes. They are two of the best loved, best cared-for dogs in the world. I don't know you or them but I feel happy every time I see them.
ReplyDeleteThe photos of Wally and Lulu are gorgeous! I haven't a clue what you did but whatever it was, it worked for you. I have PSE, but I really haven't a clue how to really use it except for cropping and resizing photos for blog posts. One of these days I need to take a class and learn all that it can do.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, Leslie! Love the photo editing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dogs. I love the pictures you share with all of us. They make me happy just looking at them knowing they are so loved. Dogs are a great addition to our lives. We love our two "girls", too, and the joy they have brought to us. Continue to share their pictures.

ReplyDeleteSo Leslie, have you thought of becoming a professional photographer. These are fabulous. You really know how to work that application. Got my happiness for the day...as I stare at my little mutt, who really does love me so and I her.
ReplyDeleteHow precious these fur babies! I have had the flu for two weeks now and this was a wonderful dose of medicine for me this morning. I feel better just seeing these sweet faces and their soulful, beautiful, brown eyes! Thanks so much for sharing them with us. :))
ReplyDeleteWally and LuLu are the luckiest doggies in the world. From their expressions, I think they know it. It seems like they not only love you to bits, but their eyes show tenderness when looking at each other. Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if all dogs were as fortunate.
ReplyDeleteI just love the pic that looks like Wally is looking at Lulu so lovingly :)
ReplyDeleteThesse are the most beautiful pictures you have shared yet! You can almost feel their beautiful fur. You need to submit these to a magazine or calendar company or somewhere! They need to be shared with everyone! They are truly the most beautiful "fur children" I have seen! I can see why you love them so much!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures of your furbabies! They are ADOGABLE.
ReplyDeleteTer ;)
Wonderful photos Linda!!! The kids look so calm and sweet. I don't know who's luckier those furry babies or you two... such a perfect little family!!! Thanks for allowing all of us to be a small part of it!!!
ReplyDeleteLeslie, your photos always make me smile. Did you braid the hair on their ears? It looks ruffled like hair that's braided when wet. I never noticed the hair on their ears until now since you got close ups.
ReplyDeleteI can tell. Adorable twosome! I love working with Photoshop and I wouldn't have known if you hadn't said anything. Good job!
