Just Passing Through

This photo was taken with a coworker’s cell phone on a recent Saturday in the parking lot of the medical center where I work.  Elk are not uncommon in this area, but we don’t usually see them strolling through town.  They’re beautiful, powerful animals.

Elk

Hope you enjoyed this little snapshot of small town life on the southern Oregon coast!  Have a good day!

  4. Oh my goodness, Leslie! Great shot with the cell phone. I wonder what brought them into town? We have a large Elk population in northern Arizona. And you're right they are very powerful animals. Better to be behind the camera then in the parking lot that day. Thanks for sharing this, Leslie.

  9. I'm so jealous! I wish we had elk here too! We do have a lot of deer in town though. I see them all the time at the side of the road as I drive home!
