Time out for Wally and LuLu
I thought I’d drop in today with my two sweetest sweethearts just to let you know they’re fine and happy, still as lovable as can be, and enjoying life as always.
We had some thunder showers over the weekend, but that doesn’t keep us inside. We’ve had a lot of outings in all kinds of weather at all the old familiar places. There are a handful of sites nearby we can take them to run off leash and get the kind of exercise they need, but since they are all the old familiar places the photos all start to look alike after a while and I don’t have much new to share. I thought we might take them to the beach on Sunday – the real beach with waves and everything – and possibly get some good photos, but, even though Wally and LuLu have a guardian angel, there’s no sense tempting fate. Just down the road from us lightening struck the ground during Saturday’s storm, travelled into the nearest house and gave it a good zap. Storm chasers we are not, so we stayed close to home where we could duck inside when the sky turned dark.
Here, they’re heading to Sleepyville with their favorite blankies.
Below is Christmas morning, waiting for Rich to give them a Scooby Snack – a gift the neighbors had wrapped up for Wally and LuLu.
The next two are just LuLu looking pretty on Christmas morning. Wally would hardly stand still. He was like a little kid wanting to help everyone open their presents, hoping each present was more Scooby Snacks, I’m sure.
Isn’t this what everyone does with the tissue from a gift bag?
Maybe I’ll get those beach pictures soon. They say it’s supposed to get sunny during the week – probably while I’m at work. Enjoy your day!

What beautiful pictures of Wally and Lulu. I'm sure they had a great Christmas.I'm jealous that you had thunder showers! It will be a while yet before we will get any nice thunder and rain. A blizzard, maybe - but no rain!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of Wally & Lulu! Thanks for sharing. Isn't that the way it always is - sunny and great weather when we are at work, and crappy weather on the weekends!! Take care,
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, Leslie! Your pups are do sweet!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots! The lens somehow picks up their lovely dispositions. I guess the Creator loves Goldens to have given them such a sweet nature. So nice (sigh).
ReplyDeleteLeslie, your pictures and words always cheer me. You are a wonderful storyteller with pictures and words. Thanks for brightening my day.
ReplyDeleteLeslie, I never get tired of your pics of Lulu and Wally. Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeletePeanut is the same way she just loves to help open presents, she doesn't touch them until we start to open then she wants to help everyone, and she will just keep shredding it until we take it away. They look so sweet settling down to take their naps :)
ReplyDeleteYou must have known we were all in Wally & Lulu withdrawal! I'm so glad you posted more pictures. All of us who think of them as "our" adopted fur babies wait for these pictures, you know! I swear they get more beautiful with every single picture you take!
ReplyDeleteWill these pics are just Great!!! I love the sleepy eyes shot and the paper shredder are my to fav's...
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your next post!
Fabulous pictures, such beautiful goldens! They must be really good kids to get gifts from the neighbors!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update! They must have been on Santa's "good list" to get all those goodies! When the girls bring their Chihuahua Joey for a visit he knows where to go for his "treats" and exactly what to do to get some! Just love their individual personalities. Hope you have a beach day soon!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these photos. We all missed Olivia this Christmas and the kid's home. They are going to get two puppies this summer. None will every replace sweet Olivia, however.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your lovely sweethearts with us - sure would like to give them some luvin - miss my big guys so much - they died a month apart ages 14 and 15. Thank goodness I have your blog to get my golden fix. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you shared some pics of the kids, Leslie. I've missed them! These photos gave me a big smile. Especially the torn tissue paper one. LOL And Sleepyville with their fave blankies. Awwww! They're so darned cute.
ReplyDeletehahaha - they are such beauties, Leslie, with silk golden coats. Kilo came back from the groomer yesterday (he goes for trimming, etc) and his german shepherd coat is so soft today. How do you bathe your beauties? Here in FL we actually purchased a portable hot water heater and bathe Kilo outside LOL hugs, de
ReplyDeleteSuper adorable. They always seem to be having the best of times.
ReplyDeleteIt took me awhile to get over here to see these adorable photos of Wally and Lulu. I can never pass up that opportunity to see what the kids are up to. Aren't they just like little kids? So cute. I love that Wally wants to help open gifts. My kitty babies love playing with tissue paper. It makes great little noises. Bless you. Hope you weather is doing much better. We had ICE on Friday here in H Town! Total disaster on the streets. People can barely drive when it rains. They haven't a clue when there's ice on the roads.
