Hello! I don’t have any cute Wally and LuLu photos today, but I do have a LuLu card made with one of the images Alexandra sketched for me. It’s time to get started on those fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas cards, so I’ve picked out a few images to color (in between the floral and baby cards). I’m in a coloring mood and I have literally hundreds of digital images. I know it sounds gluttonous but, though I’ve made my fair share of digital purchases, I’ve also picked up a lot of free images here and there and that’s why I have so many (justifying). Several of my images came from Alexandra’s blog. You won’t find Wally and LuLu there, but she has shared quite a few of her floral sketches. This likeness of LuLu was sketched from a photo taken last fall, so I thought of it right away for my first fall card this year.
Sweet baby girl.
I stamped the leaves, the sentiment, and the grass sprigs. The coloring was done with Copic markers and the designer papers are years old from Stampin’ Up! I hope you enjoy it and I hope this stamping/coloring mood lasts. See you again soon!
Such a precious card. As always, perfect in every way. I hope your coloring mood lasts too because I love enjoying your work.
ReplyDeleteLeslie, I have always been a huge fan of your coloring. This card is stunning and such a sweet image. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo, so awesome, Leslie! Of course, your coloring is fabulous and you had a wonderful image to start with! I have that same leaf punched border on my calendar page post today:) Enjoy your long weekend.
ReplyDeleteSweet card and pretty too! Beautiful coloring. I'm looking forward to the change in seasons. This one has been way too warm for me this year. Thanks for sharing your wonderful pets with us!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card Leslie. Our spring is starting, but lots of wind and rather warm for spring. Hope we get some rain soon. Have a wonderful weekend. love Ursula
ReplyDeleteLeslie, what a beautiful and precious card. Your coloring is fabulous! How special to have an image of your sweet girl to color. Thanks for making another Saturday morning an awwwwwwww morning.
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific likeness of Lulu! Beautifully colored and wonderful background! We do love our goldens and Squigglefly has a new golden image made just for me!
ReplyDeleteI hope this stamping/coloring mood lasts too, because of cards like this. Actually anything you put a brush to, is wonderful. This card is adorable and is the picture of your little girl. Thanks for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteso cute. Keep on coloring - love it. Have a great day
ReplyDeleteLeslie, everything you create, both in cards and photos, just makes me so happy! This card is adorable...and why wouldn't it be? Besides the coloring (which I happen to LOVE), it's a great likeness of LuLu ! I hope you continue your coloring mood as well because it's YOUR fault I have spent so much money on Copics so I can learn to be just like you! :-) You inspire me and your blog makes allows me to get a great start to my day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI've always enjoyed your coloring talents so I'm excited to see what you'll have for us this fall and holiday season. I have so many unfinished projects that really need to get done. You'd think with free time I'd be all over it. Unfortunately I'm a slow poke. One of those projects is to finish my Copic coloring tutorial book before I forget how to color with them {laughing}. I'm looking forward to some beautiful fall photo's of your garden {and of course Wally and Lulu}. Thank you for the sweet image of Lulu in card form today.
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous. It may not be a photo of Lulu, but it is still her in a beautiful setting. Love the image and your coloring and design are fabulous as usual.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a precious card, Leslie!! Beautiful coloring, and I love those papers too!!
ReplyDeleteYour new (to me) blog is so perfectly YOU, and I'm happy you're doing it your way these days! Love & hugs! ♥

Aw. :) Lulu is so sweet, whether she's in a photo or a drawing!
ReplyDeleteLeslie this is darling. The leaves are beautiful and LuLu looks so relaxed. Christmas cards you mean you haven't started? tisk... tisk... hee hee You know I am kidding. I am done and working on some for the troops now. Enjoy your long weekend sweetie.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet, sweet card! Who wouldn't just love to open their mail & have this waiting! Nobody could resist LuLu in ANY form! This is a beautiful card, Leslie.
ReplyDeleteDarling card, so sweet and very much the likeness of your adorable Lulu.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful card, Leslie! This one belongs in a frame, not in an envelope!
ReplyDeleteHi Leslie, This is a beautiful card. I love your colouring of little LuLu, and your lovely stitching too. I loved this image of her, she's so sweet in it. It doesn't seem that long since drawing this but I'd forgotten how much of a puppy she was in this. The lovely leaf stamps finish it off better than the busy leaf litter I'd sketched from the photo. tfs
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect for fall with the leaf border and oh my fave ribbon of all time. Wish I had bought more! Alexandra is so talented as well..! I can draw a stick figure and that is about it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card and beautiful sketch of Lulu. Such sweetness.
ReplyDeleteso sweet, great coloring of the leaves too, pretty border treatment!
