Backyard Bath Time

LuLu needed a trip to the backyard beauty parlor.

You can see these flowers blooming behind LuLu in the first photo.  They were volunteers that came along with a shrub which we later removed.  I didn’t know what they were going to grow into when they first popped up around the shrub, but I knew they weren’t  a weed.  Turns out they’re these beautiful Alstromeria.  First time I’ve grown them, and if I’d known how easy they are I’d have planted them long ago.  Rich put a wire cage around them this year, but not until after the dogs had pounced after a ball into the middle of them.  No more of that!

Does this tail make my butt look big?  All fluffed up!

Have a happy day!

  9. Oh, those Alstromerias are beautiful! The very first time I ever heard of them was when they were included in a bouquet for my girlfriend's wedding, back in the '80s. (we all had permed hair then, too. oh what a sight.)

And Lulu looks pretty, too, after her beauty parlor trip!

Beauty salons for humans can't compete with LuLus.. No doubt she appreciates it to the fullest. Both Garden and Golden are looking terrific.

  15. Lulu looks so pretty all fluffed up. I think she enjoys the spa treatment! The flowers are pretty as well. My neighbor has them in his garden and they are so nice to look at. Enjoy your weekend!

  16. hahaha - too funny about the tail making her butt look big - darling of course. Thank you for sharing the photos. Our dog is blowing his coat right now and dog hair is blowing EVERYWHERE. Do you use the "furminator" on Wally and Lulu? It has been fastastic with our dog, and I wish I had it with our Belgian Shepherd and Golden.
