Thank you, my friends, for a nice welcome back to Goldens and Garden. It's good to know there are still a few who enjoy visiting, and I appreciate every one of your comments. I replied to one email response that I like having this place as an online scrapbook of sorts as it's so easy to browse through and see the history, remember good times, and be reminded of the beauty around me. Since some like to see the dogs and garden on my stamping blog, too, I'll probably mix it up a bit I sure hope you'll come along when you can. So, let's get going, shall we?
For a change of pace my friend and I had a picnic lunch at one of our city parks. No wet dogs. Just us girls. I'd be hard pressed to explain to Wally and LuLu why they couldn't jump in the pond...
... or interact with the wildlife.
We had a beautiful walk on a beautiful day.
Just look at this poor little sad-sack LuLu who got left behind:
Poor baby. Next time, LuLu. I promise. Have a happy day and come back soon, won't you?

Wow ! Your parks are certainly more beautiful than any we have around here ! I love the pictures you take as I will probably never get to your neck of the woods and this is like a mini vacation for me . I'm glad you decided to keep this blog and still share pictures on both . There can never be too many pictures of our beautiful fur babies .
ReplyDeleteI think you live as close to paradise as it's possible on earth, And you're sure doing your part to make it so.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Leslie. And we all need our girlfriends. Thanks for continuing your blog.
ReplyDeletePoor Lulu...she looks cute even with a sad face. LOL Your photos are just gorgeous! There's nothing like being in a beautiful setting with a beautiful friend. What a God-given gift you had. So glad you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThat looks to be a wonderful place to wander and sit to chat and take in the beauty of nature. I couldn't help but picture in my mind Wally and Lulu sitting oh so pretty in the middle of the lily pads. :) Thank you for sharing your time in the park. It was a delightful interlude.

Oh Leslie, I must tell you, that your photos are gorgeous as always. I was taking in all the beauty and serenity....until I laughed out LOUD at poor Lulu! What a look on her face! I can't stop laughing at her...and if I was there, I'd be doing what I'm sure you do. Kiss her face all over! What a cutie pie.

ReplyDeleteLook at that sweet face! I'm glad you had a day with friends, Leslie. We all need that at times, but as women, I think we need it more often. And to walk in a garden with a friend -- it rejuvenates the spirit and the soul.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely park. The fountain looks so refreshing and the pretty water lilies are delightful. I must say that last shot of Lulu made me laugh, she does look pretty down and out about not being able to go with you.
