Merry Day After Christmas!

I hope you all had the most beautiful Christmas ever and will continue to enjoy the season at a more relaxed pace for a few days yet.  The days leading up to our Christmas were full of the usual – shopping, wrapping, cleaning, decorating, baking, a potluck and gift exchange at work, visiting friends and family to spread Christmas cheer and deliver gifts, making more long distance phone calls than usual – it’s all fun and all part of the season.  In the photo above Rich and I were visiting the spectacular light display at our local Shore Acres Botanical Garden.  If only I had a photo that did it justice, but you’d really have to be there…

Wally and LuLu opened presents on Christmas Eve, just like the rest of us.  Here’s LuLu…

And Wally…

They loved their new squeaky toys, and Christmas Eve got a little noisy for a while there.

I’m looking forward to the rest of my (much needed) post-Christmas vacation.  I plan to spend some quality time in my stamp room when I’m not out having fun with the doggies.  Wishing all of you merry days as we count down to the new year.  See you again soon!

  1. A wonderful photo of the two of you, and those lights are amazing!!! Pictures of the doggies are so Nellie loved her present, too...I really need to buy for her more often as she is such a clown with a new toy! Have a Happy and Safe New Year!!

  2. What great photos, Leslie! Especially of you and Rich -- Thank you for sharing this wonderful set of photos and great post. Loved the Christmas card too. What a work of art. A treasure indeed. All the best to you in the New Year!

  3. Wonderful pictures, Leslie - thanks so much for sharing them!!! I hope you enjoy the rest of your time off from work. Happy stamping and doggie time! Jim has been off work for almost two weeks, but hasn't had any time to relax yet! We'll be closing on our new house tomorrow and have lots of work ahead of us. Maybe next Christmas! :) Our Christmas was absolutely wonderful, though - spending lots of time with family. Happy New Year to you!

  4. Wow that light display looks really neat, we usually do that every year but this year we didn't go to any, I guess a few of them will be doing until the new year so we might still get it in, Peanut is scard of squeeky toys so we have to find toys that don't have sound makers, LOL! Good to hear you had a good Christmas, and hope you can get that rest!

  5. Marry Christmas to you too. Love the pics. Relax and enjoy the season. Have a great day

  6. Happy Christmas to you, Rich, & your two beautiful dogs too. I hope you all had a wonderful time, Amy and Piper had fun too and enjoyed their Christmas treats and toys.
The lights looked good in the photos but I agree these things always look so much better in real life.
Enjoy a lovely time together for the remainder of the holidays, and all the very best for 2013.
hugs from Alexandra in Scotland xx

  7. So happy to hear you had a wonderful Christmas. Those fur babies of yours are too darn cute. I love the wavy hair on LuLu's ears. :)

  8. They liked opening gifts too I see, I love that. That light picture is super cool. We went to one similar her and yea you have to be there. Glad you had a great Christmas, enjoy your little break and Happy New year!

  9. Great Christmas photo's and the puppies are too adorable playing with their new toys! They are so precious with their velvet faces and the excitement of discovering new goodies! A very Happy New Years to all and give the sweet puppies hugs from me! :))

  10. Fabulous photo of you and Rich and Wally and Lulu look like they are really enjoying themselves. Pretty pics of the lights. Wishing you a very blessed and Happy New Year.

  11. What a fabulous group of photos! Great photos of you, hubby and the dear pups. And you captured the light show exceedingly well. Wonderful!

We had one of the nicest Christmas ever. Surrounded by loved ones; plenty of good food and laughter; the weather behaved itself; walking to/from church on Christmas Eve on crunchy clean snow and lastly everyone was relatively healthy. Can it get any better than that? I don't think so - we're so fortunate.

  12. Wonderful pictures, I especially love seeing Lulu and Wally enjoying Christmas! Hope you have a relaxed stampcation!

  13. We also had a wonderful Xmas with Jeani and family, Levi and family and ea. of their doggies. We also made our yearly trek to Shore Acres to see the gorgeous light displays. Denny and I are now enjoying the peace and quiet, but we sure enjoyed our kids too.

Happy New Year Leslie, Rich, Wally and Lulu. Your friends always, Nancy and Denny

  14. Beautiful Christmas lights. So did the puppies kill the skeaky? For our Huskies, especially Nika her idea of fun is to rip the skeaky apart and pull out the noise maker. Needless to say, her toy skeakies don't last too long. LOL.

    Ter ;)

  15. Oh your light show looks so pretty! What a wonderful pic as well! I love watching my little doggie open his prezzies too...isn't that fun? My dog can sniff out his goodies over all other presents-what a sniffer! Merry Christmas and I do hope you enjoy your days off!!!

  16. Leslie the lights look spectacular! I'd love visiting a place like that. That is a beautiful picture of you and you hubby. Looks like 'the kids' had fun on Christmas Eve with their toys. I can't wait to see what you make while you are on vacation. I'm glad you had a Merry Christmas. Wishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year.

  17. Beautiful pictures of ALL of you! You all looked so happy & content! Which is the way it should be! I'm so glad you had a wonderful Christmas. Blessings for the New Year! I'll look forward to your next posting!

  18. Don't you look lovely! I'm glad to hear that Christmas was wonderful and to see all of your pictures. Have a very Happy New Year!

  19. I love the pic of the two of you together... I always want to have one like that of us but I'm always the one behind the camera....(you know how that is)
Thanks for sharing pics of Wally and LuLu too... Belle sends wet kisses!

  20. I love that frizzy hair on your puppies' ears! Adorable!!! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and here's to a Happy New Year!!!

  21. I loved seeing these pix, Leslie! You and Rich look wonderful, and the puppies are such cuties. Seeing the curling ribbon on their squeaky toys reminds me of the penchant my cat, Smoat, had for the stuff. Unfortunately, it would wind up in the litter box and seem to give him tummy troubles on the way there. Ugh. ;)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, my friend! (I know I'm a little late, but it was just TOO busy of a holiday season here!)

  22. What Fabulous pics Miss Leslie! Looks like you guys had a Wonderful Christmas and such fun to see Wally and Lulu opening their gifts! I always love your Wonderful pics..

Best wishes to you and your Beautiful family for very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

    Big hugs
