Merry Day After Christmas!

IMG_1133

I hope you all had the most beautiful Christmas ever and will continue to enjoy the season at a more relaxed pace for a few days yet.  The days leading up to our Christmas were full of the usual – shopping, wrapping, cleaning, decorating, baking, a potluck and gift exchange at work, visiting friends and family to spread Christmas cheer and deliver gifts, making more long distance phone calls than usual – it’s all fun and all part of the season.  In the photo above Rich and I were visiting the spectacular light display at our local Shore Acres Botanical Garden.  If only I had a photo that did it justice, but you’d really have to be there…

Wally and LuLu opened presents on Christmas Eve, just like the rest of us.  Here’s LuLu…

And Wally…

They loved their new squeaky toys, and Christmas Eve got a little noisy for a while there.

I’m looking forward to the rest of my (much needed) post-Christmas vacation.  I plan to spend some quality time in my stamp room when I’m not out having fun with the doggies.  Wishing all of you merry days as we count down to the new year.  See you again soon!

  3. Wonderful pictures, Leslie - thanks so much for sharing them!!! I hope you enjoy the rest of your time off from work. Happy stamping and doggie time! Jim has been off work for almost two weeks, but hasn't had any time to relax yet! We'll be closing on our new house tomorrow and have lots of work ahead of us. Maybe next Christmas! :) Our Christmas was absolutely wonderful, though - spending lots of time with family. Happy New Year to you!

  4. Wow that light display looks really neat, we usually do that every year but this year we didn't go to any, I guess a few of them will be doing until the new year so we might still get it in, Peanut is scard of squeeky toys so we have to find toys that don't have sound makers, LOL! Good to hear you had a good Christmas, and hope you can get that rest!

  6. Happy Christmas to you, Rich, & your two beautiful dogs too. I hope you all had a wonderful time, Amy and Piper had fun too and enjoyed their Christmas treats and toys.
The lights looked good in the photos but I agree these things always look so much better in real life.
Enjoy a lovely time together for the remainder of the holidays, and all the very best for 2013.

  11. What a fabulous group of photos! Great photos of you, hubby and the dear pups. And you captured the light show exceedingly well. Wonderful!

We had one of the nicest Christmas ever. Surrounded by loved ones; plenty of good food and laughter; the weather behaved itself; walking to/from church on Christmas Eve on crunchy clean snow and lastly everyone was relatively healthy. Can it get any better than that? I don't think so - we're so fortunate.

  13. We also had a wonderful Xmas with Jeani and family, Levi and family and ea. of their doggies. We also made our yearly trek to Shore Acres to see the gorgeous light displays. Denny and I are now enjoying the peace and quiet, but we sure enjoyed our kids too.

Happy New Year Leslie, Rich, Wally and Lulu. Your friends always, Nancy and Denny

  14. Beautiful Christmas lights. So did the puppies kill the skeaky? For our Huskies, especially Nika her idea of fun is to rip the skeaky apart and pull out the noise maker. Needless to say, her toy skeakies don't last too long. LOL.

  21. I loved seeing these pix, Leslie! You and Rich look wonderful, and the puppies are such cuties. Seeing the curling ribbon on their squeaky toys reminds me of the penchant my cat, Smoat, had for the stuff. Unfortunately, it would wind up in the litter box and seem to give him tummy troubles on the way there. Ugh. ;)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, my friend! (I know I'm a little late, but it was just TOO busy of a holiday season here!)
