Two Heads are Better than One–June 6, 2011

Azalea1
Well, someone said we were going to have a beautiful weekend. True enough, Saturday brought with it enough sun breaks to make me happy, and the temperature was comfortably warm – high 70’s, much nicer than anything we’ve had lately. Sunday, however, lent credence to the saying that if you don’t like the weather on the Oregon coast, wait 20 minutes. The little bit of warm rain we had didn’t keep us out of the garden, though. There’s work to be done and the whole family pitched in – me, Rich, and Wally.

Absolutely nothing is done outside without Wally’s help and he seemed especially eager to assist with this project. When there’s figuring to be done, two heads are better than one.

Here, they’re laying a foundation of scraps on which to build a short rock wall:

Umm, thank you, Wally.

You’re about half a bubble off.

Feels good to me. Are we done now?

Work progresses on the garden slowly, but surely, and I still aim to finish the restoration this summer. Too bad I don’t have anything else to do… Hope you had a beautiful weekend!
